Drake Sets Iceman for May 15 With Young Thug and 21 Savage and PARTYNEXTDOOR and Cash Cobain

The date arrived inside the ice. A 25-foot frozen block sat in downtown Toronto for the better part of a week before a Twitch streamer named Kishka chiselled to a waterproof bag and pulled the answer out on stream: Iceman releases May 15 on OVO Sound and Republic. [1] Variety confirmed the date and the studio paper. The Fader confirmed the feature list — Young Thug, 21 Savage, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Cash Cobain — and noted that this is Drake's first solo full-length since 2023's For All the Dogs and the post-Kendrick Lamar fight that followed it. [2]

The block is the rollout. Yesterday's piece read the format as theatre standing in for argument: a stunt scaled at the rate of the press the music will have to absorb. With Young Thug shipping post-RICO and 21 Savage holding his Atlanta lane, the feature page is the part of Iceman that is doing the most work — the case for a Drake catalogue still tied to the South, not the case Drake has to make about Lamar. PARTYNEXTDOOR is house. Cash Cobain is the New York bridge.

What the May 15 window will not give him is an exit from the verdict. The post-Kendrick discourse on X has not cooled; Hallels' track-by-track preview frames Iceman as Drake's "answer record" whether or not the album takes the position. [3] A 25-foot ice block makes for a clean photograph. The press the album walks into is a thaw the photograph cannot manage.
