The three frames touch one balance sheet. Cook in Beijing is Apple's largest market-access negotiation. Apple inside Glasswing is Apple in an AI-security consortium whose model preview, per UK AISI testing, is the first model to complete both cyber ranges. [4] And Apple in Berkshire's Q1 13F — to be filed Friday — is the position that any Abel trim would lead every market headline.

The cleanest test is internal. Buffett's letter named Apple as one of four positions Berkshire understands well, has high regard for, and expects to compound over decades. Abel echoed the language. Today's Beijing trip puts Apple inside a presidential delegation negotiating with a Chinese government Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has called the wrong customer for advanced AI. The connective tissue is Apple. The discourse around it is fragmented across three beats.

The reader who follows only one of those beats misses the others. The reader who follows all three sees a single company occupying the structural position the paper has called the AI-state-power thread.
