Azuma Foods International is recalling 545 cases of three-pack, 50-gram Azuma Foods Brand Tako Wasabi because the product may contain undeclared fish. [1]

The paper's June 5 pancake-recall brief argued that allergen language is a service story when a label fails a sensitive household; this is the freezer-drawer version, with a niche item obscure enough to hide in plain sight until a small package can do large harm.

FDA's posted company announcement says people with a fish allergy or severe sensitivity risk serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product, and the recall covers retail distribution in California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Washington from mid-August 2025 through May 2026. The sleeve UPC is 745329 90064 7, the affected lot numbers are listed on the bottom of the mylar sleeve, and FDA says no allergic reactions had been reported as of the notice. [1]
