The Southwestern Athletic Conference reached a media-rights agreement keeping its football and basketball games on ESPN networks through the 2030-31 sports seasons, giving the league a defined term and schedule of broadcasts while leaving the rights fee and every other financial term undisclosed [1].

The paper's July 15 streaming report kept platform hours and consumption totals attached to audience claims, and SWAC's agreement likewise needs a disclosed fee, a clear division between television and streaming, audience figures, and school revenue before visibility can be equated with economic value.

Each year ESPN will carry 10 regular-season football games across television and digital networks, the football championship on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2, both basketball tournament finals on an ESPN television network, four men's regular-season basketball games across television and digital outlets, and every other tournament round digitally [1].

SWAC and ESPN Events also extended the conference's participation in the MEAC/SWAC kickoff challenge and Celebration Bowl for six years through the 2032 season, securing those named appearances without guaranteeing an audience size, a particular platform for every game, or increased income for member schools [1].

Because neither the rights fee nor responsibility for production costs was disclosed, the agreement proves continued carriage but cannot establish additional school revenue, broader television reach, broader streaming reach, or economic parity with another conference until the parties publish what the broadcasts pay, cost, and attract.
