The name is the granular fact. The location is central Gaza, not a rear headquarters in exile. The timing is the same Monday the paper is also recording a 70 percent territorial hold and a weapons-handover dispute that still has no agreed first move on paper. [1][2]

The army's own July language, in the Jerusalem Post's Cabinet account, was that it was "eliminating their senior commanders" while expanding past the Yellow Line.
