Page Six Files Morrissey's Wynn Emails as Logistical Challenges

Ticket buyers received Friday emails cancelling Morrissey's four-show run at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on August 14, 15, 18, and 19. [1] Page Six published the notice Saturday at 12:45 p.m. The reason given was "unforeseen logistical challenges." Ticketmaster listings said the organizer had cancelled. Wynn removed the dates. Morrissey's site had not acknowledged the cancellation at fetch.

The 67-year-old last cancelled in Madrid in March after construction noise left him, he said, in a "catatonic state." [1] He has also pulled North American dates after a reported death threat and after "unforeseen circumstances." Logistics is the Saturday euphemism. The ledger is the hotels already booked.

A cancelled residency a week out is a refund story, not a personality recap. The completed record is the email, the Ticketmaster stamp, and a website that had not caught up.

In March he cancelled Madrid after an 8 a.m. drill near his hotel. [1] "An 8am drill is a drill too far," he wrote, and said he would need a year to recover. Friday's Wynn email did not repeat that medical language. It said logistics. Ticketmaster said cancelled. The artist's site, at fetch, still listed the dates. That gap is the Saturday file.
