Nvidia opened its Rubin platform with six new chips built around one supercomputer design. Google countered with two purpose-built eighth-generation TPUs, the 8i and 8t, unveiled at Cloud Next '26. Intel detailed 3-nanometer AI-optimized parts. Microsoft's Maia 300 rounded out the field.
