A Popular Congress Party delegation met Abdel Wahid Mohamed al-Nur of the Sudan Liberation Movement in Addis Ababa and agreed to broaden consultations aimed at ending Sudan's war. [1] Sudan Tribune filed the joint statement: continue dialogue, support civilian anti-war work, pursue a comprehensive settlement. [1] A joint statement is not a cease-fire. It is not a humanitarian corridor.

The two sides described the crisis as a long failure of the state's structure and said any process should be Sudanese-Sudanese. [1] They also named an exclusion: the National Congress Party and its fronts stay out. [1] An exclusion is a political line. It is not a battlefield result. The war that began in April 2023 does not pause because two movements issued a paragraph in Ethiopia.

They reviewed a Declaration of Principles toward a new homeland and said they would develop it as a civilian platform. [1] A platform is paper. Paper is not Khartoum quiet. The Quintet and other tracks remain other tracks. Print the Addis meeting. Do not print an end to the war.
