The distinction is not cosmetic. A press release says a tour exists. Scarcity says the market believes it. Billboard's service piece is framed as where-to-buy guidance, but its most useful sentence is the one about sold-out or nearly sold-out dates. [1]

This is how touring economics now enters culture coverage: not through a review, not through a first-night set list, but through the inventory map. If primary scarcity and resale pressure arrive before the cycle's live proof, the tour has already become the album's business fact.

The next useful question is whether scarcity is primary demand or resale amplification. Either answer still confirms the same larger point: for a legacy rock act in 2026, the market grades the cycle first at the gate, not in the album column.
