Taron Egerton and Eric Bana co-star. The trailer suggests a survival thriller in the vein of The Revenant, relocated to Australian terrain and stripped of historical pretense [2]. Netflix is positioning it as the month's event film, which in streaming terms means it gets the biggest marketing spend and the most algorithmic promotion.

Earlier in the month, Sadie Sandler -- Adam Sandler's 19-year-old daughter -- leads her first feature in Roommates (April 17), a college comedy co-starring Chloe East [3]. The film is a deliberate test of whether the Sandler brand extends to the next generation, a question Netflix has a $400 million interest in answering.

The catalog additions reveal a different bet. Smokey and the Bandit and Smokey and the Bandit II arrive April 1, along with The Wiz [4]. Beef returns for a second season. The logic is layered: new subscribers come for Theron, casual viewers browse the classics, and the algorithm sorts everyone into buckets.
